Z-Tech currently have an excellent role for a Control and Automation System Design Engineer based within our Cambridge office, occasionally working from our London office at Canning Town. The right candidate will be providing Design Services and Engineering Support to the Z-Tech PMO, Projects division.
Requirements for the role are:
- Ability to draft electrical design documentation, preferably using E-Plan and/or AutoCAD
- Engineering experience delivering control system philosophies involving PLCs, HMIs, SCADA or DCS
- Experience in delivering Rockwell, Siemen’s or Mitsubishi solutions using PLC Software Platforms such as Allen Bradley Control/Compact/MicroLogix, Siemens S7 (TIA Portal), Mitsubishi A/Q series, Omron, GE.
Additional requirements:
- Previously worked in the water industry
- Experience in SCADA platforms such as WonderWare , FactoryTalk View SE/ME and RS view, WinCC (TIA Portal), Iconic, Citec.
- APM project management experience
- Exposure to the Power and Rail control system environment

A broad awareness & knowledge of various ICA equipment types and designs and a working knowledge of the interfaces with other disciplines e.g. electrical, civil, hydraulic, mechanical, and modelling is key.

Salary: £35K to £45K (dependent on experience, qualifications and skills)
