Installation Electrician

Location: Slough

Salary and Benefits: £16.00 to £18.00 per hour dependent on experience. Pension, mobile phone and company van & fuel.

40 hours per week

We are recruiting for an Installation Electrician to join our Projects division. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be undertaking various installation activities across a range of projects.

Candidates must possess particular practical, productive and electrical engineering skills with adequate technical supervisory knowledge so as to be able to work on their own proficiently and carry out electrical installation work without immediate supervision in the most efficient and economical manner; be able to set out jobs from drawings and specifications and requisition the necessary installation materials; be able to accept responsibility for the proper completion of jobs and, if required, supervise other operatives. The work will predominantly be remedial work on EICR Fixed wire testing.

 

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Installation of Power & Signal Cables and associated Cable containment
  • Installation and commissioning of various electrical and control equipment – Control panels, distribution boards, valve actuators, VSD’s, motors, lighting, instruments etc.
  • Electrical inspection and testing and completion of Electrical test certificates
  • Maintaining company standards and adhering to procedures

 

Essential Requirements:

  • City and Guilds 2382-12 17th Edition
  • City & Guilds 2391 OR 2394 / 2395 Inspection & Testing
  • JIB/ ECS/ CSCS Card Holder:
  • Valid clean driving license
  • Optional Requirements:
  • CompEx 01-04 Hazardous Area Competence
  • City & Guilds Medium Risk Confined Space Entry
  • International Powered Access Federation (IPAF)
  • Prefabricated Access Suppliers and Manufacturers Association (PASMA)
  • Previous Water/Power industry experience
