London Tubelines Case Study

Z-Tech were commissioned to maintain the mechanical and electrical (M&E) assets associated with the JNP line drainage systems for the London Tube system. The core contract includes planned maintenance along with 24/7 callout. At the start of the contract a significant number of the drainage and pumping assets were on the high risk register. By reviewing failures on a fault-by-fault basis and by adopting a 'fix first time' approach, non-planned maintenance and failures have reduced. This has resulted in all assets being removed from the risk register.

Z-Tech have also worked with Tubelines and EMCOR to establish effective management and reporting systems using their Z-One Asset and Workfow management system. Z-One was used to provide visibility of maintenance activity and asset history. Use of a workflow manager reduced approval cycle times for additional remedial works.
